Trash Collection

Kreitzer Sanitation of Frackville, PA is the company responsible for refuse collection in the Borough. Pick up days are Tuesday for Market Street and north and Friday for south of Market Street. There is a six-container limit and the contract also includes pick up of ten bags of leaves and Christmas trees. Remember, there is a fifty-pound weight limit for containers. Tree branches are to be cut into 4’ long sections and bundled. Each bundle counts toward your container limit.

A feature of our contract with Kreitzer Sanitation is the monthly pickup of one large item the second week of each month. Large items include furniture, appliances, construction materials (limited to 2 barrels) and exercise equipment. The contractor will not accept tires, hazardous materials or batteries. Since large items will be collected on a monthly basis the Borough will not be holding spring and fall clean up days. Large items will be picked up on the following dates in 2008:
